More seriously, any network connected device is likely complex enough to have security vulnerabilities at the time of sale, whether known or not. Introduce a product today with no know security problem, it will have a known one later. However, there is definitely a lot of low hanging fruit available to drastically improve our situation, probably with appropriate regulation (as you have often pointed out).
