Obviously the solution is to run emacs fullscreen for everything. You'd get consistency, at least...!

@cwebber@identi.ca well... I *did* look at that, since I also have emacs running all the time. There were a few hangups, like audio, and many things seemed to revolve around committing to a one-way conversion of data into orgmode, which is a nonstarter.
And to be honest, I was also just fascinated by the continued dedication of ncurses project developers; its so cool that they still but hard work into this. Plus I figured it was time I dove unto tmux/screen, which I had been putting off.
Interestingly enough, though, several of the same issues arise if you tackle an all-Emacs lifestyle, though: disjoint projects that step on each other's key bindings, and the 'which repo do I use' question.... ELPA, MELPA, GitHub? May be worth a post all on its own, now that I consider it....
