It's that time again... time for a MediaGoblin weekly mini-update between myself (paroneayea) and Jessica Tallon (jessica_lily). Without further ado:
<Jessica_Lily> - issue #909; checking that GMG works under python 2.6
<Jessica_Lily> - issue #791; unicode issue regarding certain activities such
as comments in slavakian language
<Jessica_Lily> - issue #916 - JPope's "Sandy 70s Speedboat" theme is not
available as a submodule
<Jessica_Lily> - I fixed the problems you found with the federation branch
<Jessica_Lily> - issue #789; problem with ODF files. Investigated and closed.
<Jessica_Lily> Oh I also did the User.username index thing
<Jessica_Lily> I think that's everything

<paroneayea> my update is much shorter than last time :)
<paroneayea> - The t-shirt, postcards, are ordered. Will order the figurines
today.
<paroneayea> - Went to Chicago for a few days. Got the 3d printer fixed.
Basically, this was more vacation than work. Consider it 3 days
of vacation... depending on how much I get done this weekend :)
<paroneayea> - Worked on updating some issues on the issue tracker
<paroneayea> - I think some other things, but not a lot else. I warned last
week I'd be on vacation-ish monday-weds though ;)
<paroneayea> so the rewards are almost out.
<paroneayea> that's my big news.

<Jessica_Lily> I think 0.7.0 progress is coming along nicely too

<paroneayea> I think we can freeze by the end of next week, do you think so

<Jessica_Lily> yeah providing no one adds anymore issues to the milestone
<Jessica_Lily> :P

<paroneayea> and release date a week from then, the 11th
<paroneayea> that'll be feasible, I think.

@Tsyesika Oh, that's right. Pumpa would expect a lot of things from a "full" server. But just uploading would be nice too.
That would be a cool feature in Pumpa (or any client): when you post an image you could check to upload it to your Mediagoblin instead and just post the link/thumbnail to pump :-)

BTW I guess the major feed for a Mediagoblin would show all the existing images. But what would the minor feed do? :-)
Well comment show up in the minor feed if I recall and liking/favouriting is in the future of GMG federation stuff. So there is a value in a minor feed.
