I really don't know much about the interest group; I think they're less likely to do technical work. For a while we had a Social Interest Group which was mostly people who weren't contributing to the specs, some not even technologists, but who were interested in it succeeding. I didn't interface with it much. Anyway we agreed that the community group would mostly take on the roles of both.
