Either I am ballsy, or stupid... But I feel ready to go start a new project involving Twisted. I am envisioning successfully punching Twisted in the face, but I fear that I may be the one who gets the bloody nose.
I am also looking at using Pulsar with Twisted. I can use the protocol support from Twisted until it suits me to remove twisted in favour of native Pulsar implementations... But, of course, at the moment I am talking shit because no code has been written.

If you're talking about the Python library, I say do it! I got to play with EventMachine in the Ruby world and I'm pretty sure it was modeled after Twisted. Twisted always looked like a great project to me.
