In light if the surveillance fiasco, project Calliop is being re-introduced: http://www.caliop.net/is-email-dead-surveillance-inevitable-introducing-project-caliop/ - the part "was shelved when Gmail appeared" made me cringe. I guess a lesson need to be learned.
