When I visited, I chatted with their sysadmin for half an hour, and the whole time he was performing his regular friday afternoon chore of removing hard drives from packaging material in and sliding them into rack enclosures. He probably got through 100 drives in the time I talked to him.

Your 100 mb will not be a problem.

A git bundle is probably a good way to go to publish a git repository there in clonable form. git-annex also can upload annexed files into archive.org BTW.
