Wandered into shop and ended up spending an hour tasting olive oils. Not to mention the "Balsamic room"! In sleepy Bristol, 2 blocks from my Mom's house.
There's a good oil shop in Abingdon, too.

Our server (oilista?) was saying something about there being a multinational olive producer involved though, so I don't know how local this all is..

Oh, the oils and vinegars aren't at all local. Not sure about the olives, but the grapes aren't quite right for the vinegars (iirc).
Although if you like very sweet reds, the winery in Lebanon can be good.
