We all (in this forum) agree that we don't want corporations to own our digital culture.

I think there's an open question here about what you mean by "to own" - corporations working on the software and driving the culture's growth, and even owning copyright and infrastructure to support those ends, is something I don't think this forum agrees on (at the very least I do not, because I want the above to be possible), but maybe you mean to say that we don't want corporations to totally control the infrastructure our digital culture relies upon? I guess I'm intrigued to hear more about it, but this may be precluded by your lack of time :)
