On further reflection, I really feel like the only reason they didn't name the camera corp was that they were afraid of them. I mean, they do take great pains to make it crystal clear to readers that it was RED. Presumably people who remember the original "Ada" launch would already be aware of that, too.

Whether that means they're actually afraid they'll get sued or they're afraid they'll lose potential sales to RED owners/renters is another question.

And it doesn't mean they weren't being jerks to their subcontractors, either. I just think it's a different spot on the
