Since I know everyone is dying of curiosity to hear more about my adventure with Amazon Dash, ths upshot is that right as I ordered mine, the company deployed a new hardware model.

So the existing hacks don't work. I have no doubt that new hacks will arrive, of course, but they'll take a little time.
