In town for GUADEC, relieved to discover that Karlsruhe is one of those advanced cultures that doesn't require you to stick a key card in the wall to keep the lights from turning off.
Now if I could just figure out how this part of Europe expects you to use these bed comforters that are exactly 45% of the area of the bed.... Or maybe they're not for sleeping at all -- anybody have theories....?
I have more a problem when it cut the whole power, because it doesn't allow me to charge stuff when I'm away. An anti-feature.
Yeah, that is the more pressing concern. I have not seen a hotel where the auto-off for the lights did not also deactivate the outlets; they are usually one and the same....
