I have been working remotely for 8 years now. It has its pro's and con's like everything, but at least it lets me to spend more time with the family.

So far my company has been good with that.

Some things to watch out:

• Remember to go out and exercise or at least go to the library to change your surroundings and not get bored. 
• Try not to eat where you work. 
• I cannot say much about the dog though. I have cats at home :)
