Google is freezing the version of Chrome for Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Microsoft did this with Internet Explorer and XP, didn't they… and it didn't work out well for them.
Firefox runs on Gingerbread as well as ICS and is still being updated. :)
That reminds me there are awful bugs in pump.io mobile web UI on Firefox I should try to fix them :)
