We spent our bank holiday afternoon away from the dockside crowds by seeing The New Girlfriend at FACT galleries and cinema.

The story was strange but equally compelling and believable; yes, some moments were quite graphic and awkward, but I found it was part of the strong emotions the cast very capably portrayed.
