@speeddefrost I prefer C, C++, & Lua, but from a user of python apps the incompatible API & language changes are frustrating
-
Python 2/3 breakage makes me hate the language
-
@ralesk luckily it looks like only three backends don't support SearchFile
-
@ralesk Yes, simple as long as the backend supports searching for a file. Otherwise, it won't be able to get the package to remove.
-
@john5342 As an Arch user, the packagekit support for ALPM is "okay" at best.
-
@john5342 True, & that might get 90% of the users, but it would still need a way to detect unsupported pkg mngrs (or disabled when compiled)
-
@alltinomit That would be a tough one without being distro specific (also, imagine for instance, BSD's, & other 'nix.)
-
Giving #vim_qt a try again for daily use. It's feeling much more complete.

@afiestas Tea time, good idea *starts up kteatime*
-
@zyth It's well worth noting this was putout as a fix to some serious issues involved with v38
-
@qwc The problem ends up being that most editors (especially with syntax highlighting) try to load the entire file into ram.
-
@qwc That said, gVim can work, but you may be better off using command line tools IMO.
-
@copyme Oh, a nice follow-up was posted today about licensing as well http://is.gd/wMd0Ab
-
@copyme There's been talk on the !openmoko mailing list about it (http://is.gd/tRuxMc) I still hold that it looks like a fun device.
-
@climagic I totally agree. People with bad security habits should stick with client side applications without access to the serverside

Good developer habits != good security habits.

@etenil As long as the server isn't high I/O (usb sticks aren't typically very fast)
