Matthew Gregg (mcg)

  1. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Gabriel Saldana , Tomás Solar Castro

@tsolar @gabrielsaldana @tortellini assuming Firefox, C-s can probably be mapped with Keyconfig.

  2. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Firefox , Samat K Jain

The speed and doubly tap zoom are all I ever needed from the stock browser. Other features(adblock,etc..) are addable in other ways with CM.

  3. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Firefox , Samat K Jain

I found FF slow and clunky on my N1 even more so on the NC.

@rw Official ports are here http://goo.gl/bhI1Y. Other devices have ports, such as the Touchpad, but they are a work in progress.

  6. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Firefox , R.

@rw I generally just use the stock browser. It does everything I need. Opera Mobile is a good alternative. Stay away from Dolphin.

  7. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Ubuntu users , Sam Williams , Sameer Verma

@corewarrior @sameerverma it wasn't just for change sake. The old UI had some technical issues,

  8. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Ubuntu users , Sameer Verma

@sameerverma sadly no other comparable/alternative clients. I guess they could just leave it out of the pkg.

  9. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Firefox , Matthew Gregg , Samat K Jain

@samatjain but the NC with CM is worth getting.

  10. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Firefox , Samat K Jain

@samatjain have one running CM7.1 It doesn't run FF well. It doesn't run well on my more capable N1 either. I don't find it usable.

  11. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Stefano Zacchiroli , Julien Valroff

@zack @julienvalroff stinks doesn't it. Pino was the best client around.

@mvdan @metztli it did on some distros.

  13. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Linux , Pete Daniels

@Pete I've used Debian stable and Ubuntu for a long time without having to ever reinstall. I do like rolling releases tho.

  14. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Debian , Wes

@trashheap @ratios Just FYI, Nouveau doesn't support things like fan speed, so your fan will be running full speed all the time.

  15. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Marjolein Katsma

@marjoleink Ah, well anyhow, using a hash you can remember for passwords, especially for the many accounts you use is very helpful.

  16. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Marjolein Katsma

@marjoleink So it's more than a password manager?

  17. Matthew Gregg Matthew Gregg Marjolein Katsma

@marjoleink I was going to commit to an app like Keepass, decided to use a remember-able hash instead. No software to rely on.

Guessing the Skype/MS deal doesn't bode well for non-windows clients. OSX might be ok.
