Anyone using choqok with pump.io?
Adding account works fine, but timeline isn't loading. On console it says

It's nice to see pump.io in active development again, but there seem to be much less people here than there used to be couple of years ago.

I rarely have anything interesting to share, so I usually disappear from all social networks for extended periods of time.
Also, last I was here, there hadn't been any pump.io development for about 9 months, so I was mainly just commenting on what has changed since I was last here :P

Oh, but you can contribute a lot just by commenting on posts or sharing them =)
Development of the Pump.io core picked up pace over a year ago. Other parts never stopped, actually.
We're actually on the way to adopting the new ActivityPub standard, which will be adopted by other federated networks too. That will allow Pump.io to interfederate with those other players in a big network.

That'll be nice. As I like the feature-set of pump.io, but find diaspora*'s web client to be most polished, while I primarily use GNU Social, as that's the community I know best :)

Well, it should be, since it's the only client they have xD
BTW, re: the number of people, as usual, it depends on who you follow. People you follow might have gone away, but there might be many new users you're not following. You'll see them around in other people's posts if you actually use this a little =)
Pump.io Development

There hasn't been any commit on Pump.io's github repo for about 9 months, has the development repo moved somewhere else or is the development going through a period of hibernation?

hibernation, probably. last I heard the master branch was unstable as @Evan Prodromou was converting it to coffeescript.
He's maybe been busy with other things that have taken priority? I dunno.

Pump.io is not dead but it's pretty much unmaintained because @evan has other things to do now.

Just found out about #theDress after dropbox on twitter posted something about it. I considered it a complete hoax, except me and my wife can't agree on colour either. I think it's blue and black, she thinks it's white and gold. A huge example of how same things can be percieved differently by different people.

I had no idea what people were talking about. Since I'm trying to reduce the number of meaningless distractions, I hadn't bothered to try to track it down.
I see white and gold here.I only looked it up, because I thought it was some new feature by Dropbox and wanted to know what it was and when will it be available in Linux version :P

Why are there no more desktop assisstant like Prody Parrot and Bonzi Buddy anymore? I used to love those programs.

All kidding aside, I kinda went off from federated social networks like identica, rstatus and diaspora a few years ago. And, I'm not sure, if I'm still back.
Though, you seem to be still kicking around. :D
Btw, I think you could call Siri and Cortana the new age assistants. It's just so happens they are on our mobile devices now and a lot smarter then the desktop agents of yesteryears.They aren't on desktop, can't understand 90% of what I say, and most importantly not cute and cuddly looking! :)

How can I reduce disk io on an arch server? Any suggestions / pointers?
I imagine you could add more RAM, so more stuff can get cached. Also, if the server is using the swap memory, you could play with the swappiness configuration to make it use it less.

Pumpa is giving me SSL errors for identi.ca, says the certificate has expired. It was working fine yesterday.

Congrats! Do you play online at all?
Unfortunately, I only play online, don't know anyone in real life who plays it.
Also, I am aboslute beginner, have played less than a couple dozen of games. It was 9x9 board and I think I won just by luck :)
Oh, and I am barlas on DGS, that is where I mostly play.
I'm cmhobbs on DGS. I'm about 18kyu but I haven't played in a couple of months.
