Seriously though, I'd suggest something like an "X-Source" header to point to the complete corresponding source code.

The best warranty disclaimer I've ever seen is that of the !BusyBox Web site: http://ur1.ca/7qplc !FS

@ rsiddharth It's just that many hackers (myself included) have beards. ;)
-
@rsiddharth Nah, obviously the love of tinkering, exploration, and sharing information is more important than appearances are.
-
@sudaraka The Tux drawings are of course copyrighted; no trademark AFAIK. Details/license: http://ur1.ca/7i454
-
@mattl How can you call yourself a hacker with a clean shaven face? :P Also, nice cat.
-
@mattl The lighting effect behind you is pretty cool. Also, a bigger laptop computer would allow you to place more stickers.
-
@bkuhn I don't like that we aren't told what goes in our bodies. But ∃ laws (FDA) to protect consumers, & rev. engineering isn't forbidden.
-
@bkuhn "dirty licenses" sounds funny since a license gives rights to do things. Similarly: http://ur1.ca/7hgjc
-
@mray Additionally, the ability of users to "fork" the repository on GitHub and the existing 75 such forks make for an estoppel.
-
Arguably all rights reserved, I'd say. Before dealing in the sw I'd contact the © holder to teach him how © law works and what a license is.
-
@cascardo Yes, or sometimes just "legally-denied". E.g. you can't drive on gov't-owned roads or carry firearms in most places w/o a license.
-
Why are contracts to use non !FS called "EULAs"? Licenses give rights; End User Contracts take away otherwise legally-protected rights.
-
@fontana Obviously, since a license is permission to do something, that description of non-copyrighted works sounds strange and incorrect.
-
@mray I assume this is the license to which you're referring: http://ur1.ca/7fntz /cc @bkuhn @fontana

Yes, I will be using opkg to manage binary pkgs. I'm just trying to determine best way to build multiple/split binary pkgs from source pkgs.
