Finally I moved to quitter.se
I'm sorry, I could not get used to pump.io
Follow me on https://quitter.se/adicon on my blog http://adicon.it and on the social. Thank you!

Hm... but what did you try, to get used to Pump.io?

Apparently you only follow people with @identi.ca addresses (so no new contacts), and apparently you've only used the web UI (which is very limited) and AndStatus (not exactly the best Pump.io experience, IMHO...).

What other clients did you try from this list?

And did you try any of the related web services? There's plenty of interesting tools to use...

It's quite sad when people don't explore the possibilities... :\

I use Identi.ca as a service and I think that a service should be usefull and user-friendly, especially in this era and in this places where you can found whatever and else and a parallel world of "alternatives"! So, for this kind of non-vital services or not work-obligated ones, I give them a very first contact judgement because I won't to spend a lot of my time in the learning curve. With Pump.io wasn't first contact feeling, as with Status.net. May be you are right, I had a limited experience, but this is the level of attention I want to put in this instrument, I prefer to dedicate my time to other things more interesting for me! However I'll take a look to your suggestions. Thank you.

Well, of course, you'll decide where you invest your time =)

What I was saying is just that Pump.io is much more than just the web interface you see at first, and that if you invest some time understanding what the whole "Pump.io world" is, you'll see it has a lot of value and potential.

Also, let's not forget that the Pump.io network (and software) is still young and obviously needs more helping hands in its development, but still... I'd say what we already have is great.

If you try the desktop clients you'll see it differently ;)

Here are a few tips for identi.ca users =)

And remember that identi.ca is just a part of the greater Pump network.

Cheers! o/
