People locally think the pandemic is over.

We went up in risk alert level yet far too many local residents in my county are actually starting to just ignore mask rules and the like.  They say they just want to get things over with.  They feel that if they ignore the precautions, get infected as soon as possible, get past the infection, and then the whole pandemic will be done for them.

This is a dangerous situation to live in at times.
