"As of Monday, the Ashtabula City Health Department reported a total of 102 positive cases of the novel coronavirus."

That puts 1 in 6 cases in the city alone out of the county's total cases.  Of course we also have the county's population center so that would do it too.  Previously the flares were at the prison in Conneaut, Saybrook Landing nursing home, and a nursing home in Geneva.

"Council President John Roskovics said young people tend to congregate and have parties, and although more and more young people are coming down with the virus, the elderly are suffering the most severe symptoms and outcomes, according to the CDC."

Mr. Roskovics forgets Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome-Children.  There is no adult counterpart found to it still.  The strange cases of myocarditis that keep popping up are confounding researchers who are not finding sufficient correlations at least in reports we're hearing about so far in Ohio.

"Timonere urged citizens to watch Gov. Mike DeWine’s press conference, slated for 2 p.m. [Tuesday]. DeWine is expected to announce guidelines for high school sports."

It is not good when the elected chief executive, despite bearing the title "City Manager" under our goofy city charter, apparently got a heads up warning about today's press conference.  This may be bad.

If we could ever go out and collect signatures on initiative petitions again I so want to get the title of the elected chief executive changed.  Moving it to "Mayor" would be simple and sensible.  There would be plenty of avenues for mischief, though...
