Governor Mike DeWine put into effect a mask mandate in all counties in Ohio that are at Red Alert status and those that may advance to Purple Alert on the Ohio Public Health Advisory System. There is supposed to be an updated scoreboard posted tomorrow that will let us see if any counties tumbled from Red to Purple. The mask mandate is of indefinite duration by implication as it will not be lifted in any impacted counties until they fall back to Orange Alert.

Ashtabula County is currently holding at Yellow Alert which is the lowest alert condition on the scoreboard.
