A Conundrum

This would interest @Bradley M. Kuhn as well as @Software Freedom Conservancy.

A training opportunity at work has come up. This is a step-up training opportunity since I'm at the end of the line for available general front-line staff training in 1040-related stuff. I don't have anywhere higher to go in training on my current track. I could pick up training to cover Tax Law calls for the Tax Exempt/Government Entities division. 18-20 Contact Representatives at the Cleveland call site could be potentially selected.

This could require me to stand aside from a good chunk of the free software world if selected. After all, seemingly every little project has a foundation of some sort backing it these days. I cannot have conflicts of interest. Fortunately there is more to life than just F/LOSS in terms of tax exempt entities.

The job is grinding me down. The implementation of the Tax Cut & Jobs Act of 2017 has barely begun. That nightmare will make life exciting next season.

I don't want to be around for next season.
