Tonight I lay down the metaphorical sword I have wielded on behalf of The State since the middle of last November for a brief break. My crew is tired, broken down, and smaller than it started out. Attrition was bad this season. We're getting some fresh cannon fodder in about 30 days and we'll see how they turn out. My hopes aren't high.

Sadly the expectation going around is that this may only be a two week stand-down.

@alpacaherder@identi.ca Feast or famine. I've been at it for over a year, with barely any break (~10 days) between assignments. However, I'm not worried about covering the next rent payment, so I guess that balances the weariness.
