WFUN-AM disappeared from air for going on 30 minutes. If it had stretched on any longer, I was going to call the watch desk at FCC to notify them so that an investigation could start. WFUN-AM doesn't have an engineer that is reachable after banker's hours, alas.

Fortunately somebody from the station staff noticed they were off the air and brought things back up before too long. We haven't had any major storms or power outages in the area today. That's what makes the station silence odd. Normally a station needs FCC permission to go silent and there would be public notice of that. Randomly going off the air like this may indicate troubles for the station owner(s).
