Guix has "killed the market" for a separate Guile package manager, and I guess that's a good thing.

First trophy! Although I have the impression the field was semi-vacant in the first place. I learned the other day there's a generic Scheme package repo, I forgot the name. That should be interesting to create an importer for.

@Claes Wallin (韋嘉誠) There is a Guile package manager initiative called Guild, and it had some real work put into it. You can do a search for info on that history if you like. But nobody's interested in really carrying it along (though some are interested in using it) because Guix is "just working" for enough Guile developers.

Yes, sorry for being opaque, I was referring to Guildhall when I said "semi-vacant". It's there, but seems long-dormant, especially since guix showed up.

As for the Scheme package repo I was thinking of, it's Snow Fort, does R7RS packages primarily for Chibi, but is supposed to work for others as well. Found it via an OStatus post by @taknamay.
