Phone functionality decay
It seems like every phone I get stops working sooner than the last one. This one only lasted about 7 months until the microphone stopped working reliably...

I'm finally considering upgrading from my decade-old Nokia 1100 to a Fairphone 2. I hope the replaceable parts system keeps it useful for another decade.
