Time to make a client

Christopher Allan Webber at

It's come time for me to make a client to test out ActivityPub. I only have a week and a half to get all the things I need to have ready for TPAC. That includes the client.

Here are my options:

  • Pubstrate + GTK client: This is likely to look a lot like Pumpa, but a bit more quickly thrown together.
  • Pubstrate + ncurses client: I dunno, could be fun. I don't think I'd want to use it very much. Would be nice for some users.
  • An emacs client: Let's face it.. this is what I really want to do and what I would have the most fun using. It also seems like the craziest / riskiest one to do since I'd have to implement a lot of what I already have in Pubstrate in Emacs Lisp as well.

Aaaaaaaaaaah! I'm having analysis paralysis!

Its kind of sad https://git.gnome.org/browse/libsocialweb stalled. It'd be nice if a backend sharable between Qt & GNOME could exist.

It wasn't subsumed into systemd? :-)

Guile-Emacs? ;-)

If only!
