After numerous attempts to get them to mark my line as CDMA-less to transition to the PinePhone, I have finally decided to switch carriers. They were already threatening me with suspending my line anyway so that made the decision much easier.

My theory on how some are lucky to be able to use their PinePhone on VZW is that they were already on a CDMA-less line probably from a previous device that was able to register as such.
