Parasite

Wow! Had I seen this last year, it would have been on top of the list. Very gorgeous and very deserving of its awards. I'm glad my local cinema was still screening this!

Parasite has now replaced A Tale of Two Sisters as my all-time favourite Korean film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Tale_of_Two_Sisters

Only thing that bugged me was some of the subtitles. Now, I understand some meaning will be lost in translation but proper nouns and trademarks should probably remain intact.

The things that stood out for me was they captioned "KaTalk" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KakaoTalk) as "WhatsApp" and "Chapa-Guri" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapagetti and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoguri_(instant_noodle) ) as "ram-don".

I always associated -don with donburi so it took me a while to realise they meant to combine ramen and udon.

I never thought of combining the two products so I guess I know what I'm picking up on my next trip to the Korean market!

Back to the movie, so I'm definitely going to look for its home video release to add to my collection!
