Nearly Rear-ended

So I was making a right into a driveway and had to yield to pedestrians so obviously I was in the road as I waited. As usual, I gave plenty of warning via indicators of my intentions.

Of course, yielding to pedestrians is a foreign concept to some Honolulu drivers (the Hawaii Traffic requires drivers to yield to pedestrians).

Someone behind me skidded to a stop and honked at me. I really wanted to say, "yeah, I hear that you weren't paying attention!"

I then verified that all my indicators were functional including brake lights and signals. It's scary to know there are inattentive drivers out there...

Reviewed the dashcam footage where the skid behind me occurs in T:
- I signaled my turn at T-7 seconds
- I began slowing down T-5 seconds
- I was stopped for the pedestrians for T-3 seconds
- My top speed was 24 MPH

So seriously, the driver behind me had plenty of warning and was clearly inattentive if I startled that driver. I would even go far to say that person is incapable of safe-driving and should not be licensed.
