You have a tutee who needs to learn about recursion? Is this a high-priced Silicon Valley law firm partner perchance?
I can't say publicly who it is that I'm tutoring yet. However, my "tutee" (as you call it) has already proposed the idea of a joint talk about how many of the approaches to traditional programming instruction are poor.
Part of the reason I'm using Scheme is to avoid focusing on control structures, which intro programming classes seem to always do.
