I'm Vegan so I'm with @Christopher Allan Webber on this one. For me it's not so much about wanting things that emulate meat. But new foods are always fun to try/find. Having things like this are for me a curtesy for non-vegan/vegitarian people that come over. It is nice to have something to offer them that they are a little more comfortable with. And when they realize that my seitan coq au vin tastes way better then the faux meat thing... that's a win too.
