We should be careful to distinguish between Internet and WWW the two are not synonymous. I suspect there will be a massive (and IMHO needed) die back of WWW stuff.

But the growing movement of self hosting will provide continued and probably more relevant content because the reason for hosting/publishing will be about the information not the revenue it can provide.

I also suspected we'll see a resurgence of other Internet technologies as the die back drives people to seek/create alternatives.
