I've been contemplating the move from Trisquel to Parabola. Not sure if I'll do it but Parabola is looking increasingly mature and I like the rolling release model. Bu in my musings I realized that I do not know the term for a non-rolling release distro. Staged? Versioned? ... Anyone?
I think you should take a second look if your computer processor is Intel. I read a couple of days ago about a proprietary "blob" that their developers may not be able to solve. As an alternative, I would suggest taking a look at Sabayon.
