Seriously, I don't have time to follow hackernews or reddit/r/cryptonerds (or whatever) today due to WMF All Hands, but if someone finds our more information about HOW they decrypted those images I'd love to be given URLs/etc.

Impression I got was he left his computer open and keychain unlocked. But it might be more impressive work than that :)

Yeah what Brion said - he was caught red handed in the library with the admin panel open. So unlocked keychain or they'd watched him type a password while under surveillance.

So, all of that is probably right (keychain unlocked or watched him type the passphrase) but.... the quote is "broke the encryption." i guess I'm being a pedantic in the world of imprecise people.
