I think the migration from HBO Max to Max is a regression! I'm sure they'll fix things in future releases but here are my top grievances so far:

There seems to be a slight pause when the app thinks about whether to serve an ad. The previous release allowed for smooth and uninterrupted playback for ad-free subscribers. I at first thought there was a playback or connectivity issue but when it happened regularly, then it clicked for me what's going on.

The credits page is truly a regression! They now group only by actors and "creators" where it's unclear how the credited individual was involved. I wonder if that's got to with the writers strike...
