That is an interesting statement but I think I need it unpacked.

Basically, the idea is: people are afraid to try new things that might fail. We create monopoly systems (copyright, patents, etc.) as a way to encourage people to try out things that seem crazy, because if they "win the lottery" and those things become massively successful, they have a monopoly.
