I think more git self-hosting options is a good thing, as are more public git hosting options and more public non-git options.
If more people are willing to use and develop them, some of them will stop being mediocre.

@lnxwalt lots of mediocre options makes it difficult to figure out which to use and/or develop, making it less likely any will stop being mediocre.
