The health insurance company won't pay this claim from the hospital because in Illinois there's a special other thing called the "medical group" (primary care provider, basically) that's responsible for some charges... so I need to call them.
Mind you, it has taken *almost my entire work day* to learn that the answer is that I need to call an entirely different organization and sort it out with them.
That's it. The whole day, just to start all over.
