Please don't talk to me about environmentalism if you buy lunch from a food truck most days. #KThxBye

Please don't tell people that they have to act as if the world were a different place in order to engage in discussion about serious topics. Yes, people should question their own actions and model responsible behavior, but people who drive cars can and should be perfectly welcome to criticize cars and car culture.

Maybe explain what's wrong with food trucks? Do you mean "food carts" as well?

Aaron (et al), just a microblog compression issue.  What I meant was "please don't express a feeling of environmental superiority to others if you get your lunch at a food truck every day".  I didn't word it well enough, though, partly b/c it was cross-posted to Twitter.  I could have worded it more accurately if I'd worked harder on it.

Although not strictly relevant here, it may be useful context to know that almost everything I post to identi.ca (aside from followups likethis) is the same as something I tweeted on Twitter.  This means that I'm voluntarily accepting Twitter length limits even in identi.ca where they don't apply.  (But Iike I said, even within Twitter's limits I could have worked harder to say what I actually meant.)

Yes, your reply is a great demo of how long a message on Pump can be :p
