What I love is that even within the fake elector scheme, Trump had to do a con-within-a-con. He told the FEs they were there in case Trump won some court cases -- but *really* they were there for Mike Pence to object to the legitimate electors on Jan. 6 and then call the FEs in!
So he couldn't even be straight with his own co-conspirators.
It's just so perfectly true to form. There's an almost aesthetic quality to his mendaciousness -- in the Olympics of dishonesty, he is at this point competing only with himself.
