I *think* what this @FDroidOrg statement is saying is that they blocked an app for political reasons, but reasoning given for the deplatforming is very thin. I wish they'd instead taken the position @ALALibrary took in 1939.
https://f-droid.org/en/2019/07/16/statement.html
The argument is apparently: F-Droid dropped Fedilib because Fedilab's app offers a pre-configured *opt-in* list of popular fediverse sites that includes Spinster, which in turn might (note F-Droid didn't actually say it does) allow bad posts.
Srsly?
For example:
Suppose someone were a journalist trying to cover Spinster?
Suppose someone wanted to log in to Spinster in order to *argue* with a position someone else is taking there?
Now it's harder for these people to do so via Fedilab as installed from @FDroidOrg.
