"Getting rid of the CapsLock is wonderful! " -- sadface. I like Caps Lock: I trained to use it automatically when learning to touch type and I use without even thinking when typing, say, NULL or anything else that's at least three captials in a row. I'd miss it if it were gone.
Then again, nothing I hear about post-X230 Thinkpads makes me want to get one.

So, by default, the CapsLock is still there but is activated by "double clicking" (pressing?) the shift key. So you can still use CapsLock, it's just not a separate key.
