in nearly all of my posts on identi.ca, over the past several months, I have explicitly removed Followers from Cc: under the incorrect belief that this would make the posts public.  that one you mention was probably a mistaken exception.  I have announced every GNU Linux-libre release here expecting the announcements to be public.  that's more than one post per week.  I suppose you can't see any of them.  that's very unfortunate, and a symptom that the pump.io web interface doesn't make it easy for people to make posts public, or to even to realize there is such an option.  it took me a very long time after the migration to pump.io to realize my posts were not public like those in the old identi.ca used to be, and a few more months to realize that the obscure move I adopted under the assumption that it would fix the problem didn't
