another case in point .. same ips requesting /.well-known/host-meta rapidly over and over again ... couldn't they cache some of those responses a little bit?

(at least the ones that don't change often)

I mean seriously this stuff needs to be fixed.

meanwhile still trying to rebuild the main spraci site and every *minute* anything to do with events there is down is critical and much of it has been down for DAYS

the federated world will have to wait till i get that stuff working

...and getting an ancient codebase to work on the new system isn't so easy :-(

(lots of it is decades old - the site started in 1994 - and no "framework" can help me there - I've looked before - nothing can do the job without so much work customising that I might as well build from scratch anyway - nothing out there does cities and tags or even events in any half decent way)

so of course I'm upset...
