.. locate found "scanimage" ..

tried scanimage -L .. looks like it sees it

but didn't work ..

its over the local network but the man pages only mention usb and scsi ..

if its some kind of scsi over ip hack insisting on root .. then the answer is no way

not doing that

is there a way to do this without taking stupid risks?
