Computers, even Apple ones, are much cheaper than they were 20 years ago and teens more access to money. Your experience is out of date. In the whole world, sure most teens probably don't have access to the cash purchased, school/government-provided, or readily stealable computing resources. But many, many more do than 20 years ago.

Anyway, I'm sad that otherwise intelligent people watch war party propaganda. At least step up to some non-US punditainment thing if that genre is appealing.
