I'd be interested in hearing more about why you prefer the new one. Installing Nextcloud seems like wrestling 100 pound of infrastructure for 5 pounds of feature (on the RSS reader front). If you're using a lot of Nextcloud's other apps, I'm sure that changes the calculus ... but what about the newsreader in particular is an improvement?
@n8@identi.ca Already using Nextcloud for Files, Calendar and Contact sync, yes. Since I'm already hosting Nextcloud, which is pretty easy to host, switching from Tiny Tiny RSS to Nextcloud News means one less application to update and take care of. Nextcloud News was already simpler to setup because it works off the cron job that's already setup. But the other big difference is switching from the TT-RSS Android client, which never really worked reliably, to the Nextcloud News Android client, which is a joy to use. That's almost a bigger difference than simplifying the hosting.
